Our intention with this site is to present the Barbet breed to the general public. For us it is essential that more people take an interest in this very old and rare breed with a small population.
The Barbet is an intelligent, friendly, balanced and social dog, that is very attached to its family. It needs a lot of exercise every day and doesn’t like to be left alone. It seldom barks and it doesn’t loose hair, which is an advantage in families that have allergic members.
In our house we have three Barbet-bitches Nelum Himalis Coquette (SOYA), Ludde Lumps Desirée Delight (AXA) and Clayhill Etoile (EBBA).
Our names are Gunnel and Joachim Svinhufvud. We live in a little village by the sea in the southern part of Sweden. Nearest towns are Höganäs and Helsingborg.
